Move through the room like ambulence drivers.

Beck concert tonite at Chastain.

Who's pumped?

I screwed up that last post and can't seem to fix it. Plug "R.E.M." into ticketmaster to see what I'm talkin about.

More on the REM front:
Apparently they're touring as an "alternative" band, but not as a "rock and/or pop" band: |

INTERNSHIP ROLL CALL (spring class, 2003):
Mad Dogs: 2
Chiat: 1
Wieden: 1
BBDO: 1
Publicis: 1
Actually hired: 2 (and the wisdom they could pass on!)

Somebody please explain this equally perplexing REM lyric:
"They did the same to Matthew and he bled til Sunday night."
It's from "Alligators" (or something like that) from the album "Up."

Is it a biblical reference that I'm just not getting?

Beware the squirrels!

Incident 1

Incident 2

More to come...

Hands-down best headline ever: "We're here. We're queer. We're on the fucking phone."

Song of the day: "Ann Don't Cry" by Pavement. Technically it was the song of yesterday because I heard it yesterday for the first time in forever (even though I own the album). It reminds me of the last Pavement show I went to, on their last tour, and kids were slam-dancin' to everything, even Ann Don't Cry. It was funny at the time, and proceeds to lose its hilarity with every passing moment. So I'd better document it now before it gets replaced by a Vines ballad.

Communists Now Least Threatening Group In U.S.

WASHINGTON, DC According to a report released Monday by the Pentagon, Communists rank last on a list of 238 threats to national security. "Communists may now safely be ignored," Secretary of Defense William Cohen said. "The Red Menace has been surpassed by militia groups, religious extremists, ecoterrorists, cybercriminals, Hollywood producers, and angry drivers." Other groups deemed more threatening than Communists include rap-metal bands (#96), escaped zoo animals (#202), and Belgians (#237).

Holy hell, I think my template may be close to being back...

The new Radiohead single- "there there" is on the internet radio station. Hail to the theif, fools. Though it does kind of go with the rainy hydroplanin' weather. And my massive post-48-hour-film-screening headache. Oh, that was fun. I hope everyone voted for 8.5 by 11. Not that I had much to do with it. Hopefully with inky coffee and honey nut cheerios the headache will clear, but the flourescent light doesn't help. Or the computer screen for that matter.

suck it.

I'm tired of everything.
I'm going to Urban Outfitters.

Things that are wrong with my car (in order of importance):
1. Window won't roll all the way up (impending rain damage).
2. Coolant level a little too close to "H."
3. Suspect brakes.
4. CV joint (left).
5. Tape player changes tape side for no reason.
6. Lack of CD player.
7. Back left door doesn't open from inside.
8. Messy.

Ive reached new heights of doing absolutely nothing at work. Almost 2pm and not one job has come down from traffic...of course its not 5:30 yet. I've had the i-tunes radio on an "alternative" station out of Seattle and I think they've been playing world music for about a half-hour now without me noticing. Sneaky ones, those kids.

So I'm not crazy. There was, in fact, a children's television show in the 80's called OWL tv. I am apparently the only person on earth who remembers it. There was also an 80's movie called "The Dirt Bike Kid." Not many people remember that one either.

Does anyone remember there being a song from the Dirt Bike Kid soundtrack that got rather popular, a la "Glory of Love" from the Karate Kid? Anyone? Bueller?

Yeah, I know. It's been awhile. Not like anyone reads this anyways. I was in NYC hanging with the hipper-than-thou in Williamsburg, then work got a bit crazy.

The Hindsight blog is getting more and more cryptic. What's shaking, Wes?

Yesterday must have been filled with work, paper and otherwise, because none of my friends updated their pages. Including me. I was busy. Writing ads and taking names. And eating veggie burgers. With tasty tasty potato salad. Tomorrow I'm flying out to NYC for the One Show (well, one show related events). I'm not actually going to the show. Just stand outside and make fun of people's clothes. Which will later air live on E!

Hey, I now have a fotolog. Check it.

Driving in the ATL is at an all time low. This morning I saw a school bus run a red light. I hate Buckhead so very, very much.

How bored are we?
15 (# of tiles on ceiling, vertically)
Must-see tv in rerun form
Memorized 3rd verse of "American Pie"
Killed a man just to watch him die
