Two years ago I posted a picture of gross gross Mickey Avalon to prove some sort of point, and now almost half of the traffic to my site comes from people searching for that very picture. It's a high bar, humanity, isn't it. Ick.

Because I love a good diorama (and frankly, who doesn't AM I RIGHT), I spent a good portion of Friday afternoon at the Boston Museum of Science. I took eight million pictures and because absolutely convinced that the best way to explain anything in life is through a diorama of two ferrets looking at one another. Here are some pictures:
Including the weirdest teaparty ever.
(this is how math works)
this skeleton knows what's going on
science!
And then I went home and watched The O.C. for the rest of the weekend.

Did anyone watch "The OC" back when it was on? I didn't, but I'm watching all the DVDs now, and I love it a little more than I probably should. (With the exception of the chick who plays Marisa, who is possibly the worst actress ever on television. Seriously, is that acting?) BEST LINE: "I may like my Chardonnay, but at least I won't die alone, and that's more than I can say for YOU"
NEW MYSPACE QUOTE
Seriously, guys, I want that tattooed on my soul. It made me laugh for-ever. That, and this:

I'm listening to the new Portishead album. It's a little on the boring side of things. Here are some pictures from Portland:
I'm going to be in New York for like a day at the end of the week. Let's get a drink, ok?

Oh hey, I just noticed that "The Plug" was back. Hooray for online 'zines that I used to read in 2004! Here's a link to the new issue which takes place at the corner of Virginia and Highland, Atlanta's answer to Haight and Ashbury..

I haven't updated in a long time. It's because I FEEL NOTHING. No, not really, but wouldn't it be funny if I suddenly got all lipstick emo on everyone? It's been slow at work, I put two pictures of dinosaurs brandishing muskets on the office door, that's the only productive thing I have done lately.
Did I mention that Erin moved to Philadelphia? (every time I type "philadelphia" I get that fucking streets of philadelphia song in my head, which is probably why I haven't mentioned it yet.) It was kind of like on The Mary Tyler Moore Show when Rhoda moved to New York, except not ripe (rife?) with comedic possibility. And also, not on television.
I don't know what the deal is with this picture, it looks like the kind I used to take for the program of my childhood dance recitals. And also, how fucking annoying is Phyllis? I don't understand why she wasn't slapped more often.
I can geek out in any number of arcane pop culture corners.
